2020: A Look Ahead

2020: A Look Ahead

September 24, 2019

As we hit fourth quarter of this year, we consider this challenge for 2020:

“How can we grow and become a more engaged collaborator in the fight against human trafficking?”

2020 and Beyond

As a small social venture company, we know that our best contribution is providing sustainable employment opportunities in regions impacted by the reality and threat of human trafficking. It is our mission to support and serve these individuals and communities that are impacted by trafficking.

In 2020, in addition to adding a few new products to our fall line (look for new bracelets, hats, fun gifts and some great winter gear!), we will also be sharing how a few companies and nonprofits who are helping in their own way to lift the cause through their gifts of time and talent alongside us. We firmly believe that a collaborative approach will build an even stronger community of diverse supporters and engaged ambassadors around the world.

We founded 3 Strands Shop to serve this cause by providing hope for a future through employment opportunities and funding for organizations who work daily with survivors of human trafficking and those at risk. Our products are created or inspired by the people we serve, and we are looking forward to stepping into this new phase.

Why 3 Strands Shop?

Many people ask where our company name originated. In 2011 as our co-founder Ken Petersen was contemplating this brave new venture in collaboration with Agape International Missions, he read this passage from the Bible. It still rings true for us to this day. Thank you for standing with us in this fight.

“And if someone overpowers one person, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not easily broken.”

We are grateful for your support!
