Five Reasons to Share Hope and Gratitude this Holiday Season
Wow! What an incredible year it has been here at 3 Strands Shop. We are so grateful in so many ways for the abundances you’ve provided to survivors around the world. Here are the amazing accomplishments that our community of 3 Stranders have provided in 2017!
- Jobs, jobs and more jobs. At 3 Strands Shop we are firm believers that sustainable jobs are the key to providing long-term independence and freedom for survivors and those at risk. Thanks to you, more than 130,000 products (units) have been handcrafted by the artisans we worked with this year; each being shared and worn around the world today. We are proud to provide these 250+ jobs, at wages exceeding the country’s prevailing wage.
- Our community is growing! As we travel around the world, we are noticing it is abundantly clear that awareness around the issue of human trafficking is increasing…but more importantly, how each individual can DO SOMETHING to help end trafficking. We hope that our products have encouraged you to continue to DO SOMETHING, and that you continue to share our message with others.
- 3SGF and AIM are recognized thought leaders. From California, where a bill co-authored by 3Strands Global Foundation was recently passed to mandate prevention education in schools, to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, Cambodia, where our partner Don Brewster of Agape International Missions (AIM) recently received the highest medal bestowed upon a non-civilian for AIM’s work in fighting sex trafficking in Cambodia, the companies and organizations we collaborate with are providing solutions for prevention, rescue, restoration and reintegration initiatives around the globe.
- More people are STYLING WITH PURPOSE. We all have choices in our buying decisions. We are so very grateful to you, for choosing to style with purpose. Every product purchase represents your commitment to freedom for every individual who has been rescued, or who is at risk.
- We are passionate about our work to end it. Through the hard work, hope and dedication of the organizations we collaborate with, we are so grateful that more than 3,800 people have been impacted by Agape International Missions (AIM). And more than 750 men, women and children have been rescued since their inception. More than 700 individuals have been reintegrated through jobs provided at AIM’s employment centers and more than 600 survivors have been restored. 3Strands Global Foundation has provided prevention education to more than 30,000 U.S. youth, and the PROTECT prevention education program is expanding state by state as we speak!
One person enslaved is one too many. The companies and organizations we collaborate with continue to keep up the good work against seemingly insurmountable odds, literally saving lives by the thousands.
